How to Help
BAO prides itself on being a community-based organization driven largely by volunteer support. Indeed we could not possibly provide the wide range of services we offer without the generous donations of time and energy that we receive from dedicated volunteers.

Some volunteer opportunities available with BAO are:

Front office clerk – answer phones, greet visitors and clients, assist with food requests

Food bank – assist in preparing food boxes for pick-up by consumers and stocking the food bank on a biweekly basis
(must be able to lift 60-75 lb. food boxes)

Clothes and household items closet - sort through and arrange donated items for our clients

Painting and building maintenance - help keep BAO beautiful inside and out

Filing, clerical and administrative - organize files, help stuff envelopes for fund-raising efforts and other clerical duties

Youth Advisory Council (YAC) - young men and women ages 13-19 are trained to provide prevention education to the adolescent community on a peer-to-peer basis
