Empowering Our Community with Access to Self-Collection Kits for HIV and STDs: Introducing the Sassy Little Box Program

The Sassy Little Box program is brought to you by BAO and designed to increase accessibility to HIV and STD testing in our community by providing remote self-collection kits through convenient access points. This program aims to promote screening with the help of local partnerships.

What STDs do these kits screen for?

Each Sassy Little Box includes self-collection materials and easy-to-follow written instructions in English and Spanish so you can screen for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis, without having to visit a clinic. You can collect your sample from a convenient location and connected to care and treatment as appropriate.

How it Works

Access kits: Pick up your kit at any local participating location.
Activate your kit: Scan the QR code that is included in your kit or go to mybinxhealth.com/activate to activate your sample collection kit.
Collect your sample: Follow the provided instructions to collect your sample. You will need to provide a urine sample, throat swab, anal swab, and finger prick blood sample to screen for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis.
Ship your sample: All kits include a pre-paid return shipping label to send your samples back to the lab. Return your kit at a local UPS drop off site.
Know your status: Results will be provided and will link you to care and treatment, as appropriate.
Get paid: Every patient who returns a sample receives a $20.00 Amazon gift certificate
